David Reyes with IPMS-BAC Philippines is here with his 1/32 Matchbox Bf-109E.  David has done quite a bit of extra work and added aftermarket goodies to his 109 to improve the detail level.  Then he finished it off with subtle weathering.  Very nice indeed.

Stuart Porteous starts off your Friday update with his 1/72 Airfix Canberra TT18 Target Tug.  Stuart did a conversion on his Canberra using a set from Aeroclub.  He then finished off his Canberra to a very high degree of quality.  I love the realistic setting of his photos. 

J.J. Conquergood is here with his first article on ARC today.  this is his 1/72 Airfix Fiat G50-bis.  J.J. finished off his attractive looking Fiat in the striking Italian desert camo scheme.  Welcome to ARC J.J.!!!

Ricardo Cornejo Z. joins us with his 1/72 Amodel Sukhoi T-4 in a rich looking bare metal finish with varied shades of bare metal colours to give it a more realistic look.  Ricardo also added many details to improve his T-4 and he tells about this in his article.

Kai Reckstadt has dropped by with his 1/32 Revell Bf-109 F-2z/Trop.  Kai added extra resin detail parts to improve the cockpit on his big 109.  He used pre-shading for the panel lines and finished it off in the markings for the German fighter-ace Hans-Joachim Marseille in desert camo. 

Cruise Wang is here from Taiwan R.O.C. with his  1/72 Hasegawa EA-6B in markings for a jet with 'INDEPENDENCE' VAQ-136.  Cruise added some extra detailing to improve his great looking Prowler and he talks about this in his article.    

PS has dropped by today with his 1/72 Fine Molds TIE/Ln Fighter.  This is one of the excellent quality line of Star Wars kits from Finemolds and PS did a wonderful job on it.

J.C. Bahr begins today with his 1/72 Hasegawa Seafire Mk.XV.  J.C. took the 1/72 Spit Mk.IX kit and modified it into a Seafire with parts from his spares box and scratchbuilt parts he made.  The end result looks pretty sharp.

Maurizio Tiso (Ritz) is here from Italy with his 1/48 Hasegawa F-4F.  This F-4 is finished in Luftwaffe markings and a nicely detailed cockpit.  Good job Maurizio.   

Anthony Manzoli joins us from Australia with his 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109 G-14.  Anthony has a skill for doing these 109's and this latest one is no exception.  Very nice Anthony.  

Yvan Vansteenkiste is here from Belgium with his 1/48 F-18C Hornet Swiss Tiger Meet 2004 Special.  Yvan has got a great looking Hornet here.....with lovely Tiger markings and a very well done cockpit as well weathering on the exterior of the aircraft. 

Peter Valica is here with his 1/72 Republic P-47D Razorback.  Peter finished his beautifully built P-47 in some very attractive markings on a very well done bare metal finish.

  Argentina National Day -- "La Revolucion de Mayo"  

Dean Large is first up today with his big 1/32 Revell Spitfire I/II.  Dean did some great work on this one and tells about it in his article....including rescribing the fuselage.  I particularly liked how his instrument panel turned out.  

David Bey joins us with his 1/48 Hasegawa F-16C V3: Peppermint Patty.  David built this one mostly out of the box with a resin seat and some colourful markings and weathering.  David goes into some helpful detail about building his F-16.

Nissim Tzukduian has dropped by with his beautifully done 1/32 Pro Modeller Bf-109 G4 Trop.  The shading on the cockpit came out looking excellent.  The weathering on the whole aircraft came out looking very well. 

Nikos Panagiotidis has dropped by from Greece with his 1/48 ESCI Mirage 2000 EG.  Nikos worked hard on this old kit to get his fantastic looking Mirage in Greek Air Force markings.  Very nice indeed Nikos.

Stefan Woltmann is here from Germany with his 1/48 Hasegawa A6M5c ZERO.  Stefan did some extra detailing on his Zero to improve the detailing and it looks like it was well worth the effort.  The cockpit looks very good.

Rodrigo Caselli Belem is here from Brazil with his 1/48 Italeri AT-26 Xavante finished in Brazilian Air Force (FAB).  Rodrigo also added a resin seat and aftermarket decals.  Very nice Rodrigo.

Blair Hall joins us with the big 1/32 Tamiya Jolly Rogers F-14B.  I know a large number of you enjoy seeing the  F-14 in Jolly Rogers markings....so I'm pleased to show you Blair's F-14 beauty.  This is an amazing model on a fantastic looking base with a great article.

Andrzej Rusek (dzejo) has completed the 1/72 Italeri ACH-47A Chinook.  Andrzej worked on his Chinook for 4 long years to make sure he got the details all right.

Tony Crews is here with his 1/72 AMT/ERTL KC-135E.  Tony did this kit justice and complete his wonderful tanker in a in-flight display.  His finished model is a beauty. 

Sean Pearson has been busy building his 1/48 Monogram B-26B Invader.  Sean did some first rate work on his Invader including some dry brushing for high wear areas as well as exhaust stains.

Frank Dargies starts today with his excellently detailed 1/48 Tamiya Mosquito B Mk IV.  Frank added piles of detailing and then set his Mosquito on a fantastic diorama base with a wire fence.....check out the cockpit and engine photos.  Stunning!!!   

Sean Carter is here with his 1/72 Fujimi A-4M.  Sean did a very fine job building up his little A-4 and then finished it with colourful markings.  Nice job Sean.

Jürgen Duchenne joins us with his 1/72 Revell Spitfire Mk.Vb.  Jürgen built his Spitfire out of the box with the addition of an antenna wire.  A Spitfire is always good to see and Jürgen did his up nicely.   

Olivier De Menech has dropped by with his 1/72 Italeri Su 27 B Flanker.  Olivier rescribed the panel lines and scratchbuilt the cockpit and ejection seat.  This is a great looking jet from any angle.   

Juan Ramon Garcia Martin has been busy building his 1/72 Academy Bf-109G Converted into a Avia S-199.  Juan  weathered his S-199 to give it the well used and worn look of this early Israeli fighter.   

Rafi Ben-Shahar joins us with his 1/48 Dragon Me 262A-1a/U3.  Rafi used a variety of items and techniques to improve the detail of his 262....then he finished it off with a beautifully executed paint job.

Martin Morkowsky joins us with his big 1/32 Academy F/A-18C Hornet in markings for a "Gunslingers" CAG -Bird flown during the operation "Iraqi Freedom".  A beautifully done model of this very good kit. 

Ryan Ahern is here with his non-blue 1/48 Sword FM-2 Wildcat complete with exhaust stains and added scratchbuilt detailing.  Ryan tells about the building of his good looking Wildcat in his article.

Joel Alcantar has dropped by today from Mexico with his 1/48 Hasegawa F-86-F10 Sabre in a bare metal finish.  Joel added gun powder stains on the side of the nose and some well done painting in the cockpit to show off the details.

Thomas Neuss starts off today with his 1/32 Revell Royal Air Force Puma HC 1.  You'll want to sit back and get a good look at this one.....Thomas put plenty of effort into it.  Nicely done photos as well.

Matt Borlandelli is here with his 1/48 Revell F-86D in a bare metal finish and  some carefully done weathering.  Matt has captured the look of the Sabre Dog very well.  I love it.

Bill Lachance is here to treat us to another of his scale model wonders.  This is Bill's 1/48 Trimaster Focke-Wulf 190D-9 done up with the extra detailing Bill is known for.  And as usual he's included some shots of the cockpit before it was installed.  Always a treat to see these Bill.

Mario Fernandez is here from Mexico with his latest.....this is Mario's 1/72 Hasegawa F/A-18F.  Mario used home made decals and finished off his F-18 with an oil wash.  The finished model is very effective in the way it looks like a well used USN jet. 

David Thompson joins us with his 1/72 High Planes Kit CAC Wackett Trainer.  This aircraft is a true Aussie aircraft and David did it up right.  It's interesting to see this one.   

Mike Pavlov has been busy building his 1/72 Revell Su-35 conversion.  Mike used a resin cockpit set and some photo etch to improve the detail of his weathered Su-35.  The finished model looks perfect.

Harry Doucette is here with the first model he has built.  This is his 1/48 B-17 CHOW HOUND which is quite the kit to tackle for a first kit.  Harry went the extra mile and detailed his B-17 with weathering to give it that battle weary look.....welcome to ARC Harry!!! 

Yiannis Ladopoulos joins us from Greece with his 1/72 Esci A-7H Corsair II finished in Hellenic Air Force markings.  Yiannis brush painted his Corsair II and then added weahtering for a very good looking model.

Jon Whitmer joins us to give us a grin.  This is his Hasegawa Fw-190D Egg Plane which I believe is 100% accurate in shape to the true Dora.....but that just my guess.  Nice one Jon...and greetings to your son......his A-10 looks great next to your Egg Plane.

John Green joins us from the UK with his 1/72 Revell Hurricane IIc.  You'll enjoy reading the history of this aircraft in John's article....it is quite the rich history.  Looking good John.

Graham Tarran joins us from the UK with his 1/48 Aeroclub EE Canberra B2.  Although this is a vacformed kit, Graham quite enjoyed it.  If you're planning on building this kit, you'll find Graham's article quite helpful and it builds up into a very nice model.

Christopher Price is here with one of the coolest airliner paint schemes to be used.  This is his 1/144 Revell Germany Boeing 747-400 done up in the Formula ! Race car scheme.  No doubt about it....this is one great looking model and Christopher goes into detail about the build in his article.

Jim Dietz joins us with his 1/32 Hasegawa FW-190A-8 which he built more or less out of the box with some additional detailing to get things looking just right.  Jim has talent with an airbrush and you'll see that in the excellent camo scheme applied to his Fw-190. 

Claudio Col & Paolo Torchio join us with a very interesting "What-if" side view profile of the Macchi B 2000 FOLGORE II.  This is definitely creative....well done. 

Juan Jácome is here with his 1/72 Italeri Augusta Mangusta A-129 done up in Italian markings for this combat helicopter.  Juan has displayed his very nidcely done chopper on a diorama base.

I attended the Rocky Mountain Model Club show this past Saturday in Calgary Alberta, Canada flying on Westjet.  It was a great show with over 550 models on the tables.  The entries were full of variety and there was no shortage of talent.  Here's a group photo of most of the ARC'ers there.  It was a hoot to meet you guys. 

Gavin Rees was at the show and I was pleased to be able to have a chance to have a chat with him.  This is his 1/48 Italeri OH-58 Kiowa that was at the show and I saw it up close and it looked excellent in the J-Bot decals.

Benoit Mathier joins us with his first article on  ARC.  This is his 1/72 Hasegawa Tornado GR.Mk.1 "Buddha" inflight diorama.  This shows a Tornado doing a classic low level attack across the desert complete with a shadow from the well weathered Tornado.  Welcome to ARC Benoit!!! 

AEX is here with the 1/72 Revell Bf-109G finished off in the markings for a 109 flown by the Russian Army of Liberation which is one of the more interesting stories although forgotten stories from the Russian front during WW2.  Well done Bf-109 AEX!!!

Martin Morkowsky starts today with his great looking 1/28 Revell Fokker DVII.  This is a larger kit and Martin make full use of the detail provided in the kit.  It's a treat to see this biplane on ARC.

Paolo Yuen joins us with his 1/48 Hasegawa Harrier which he fitting with a full weapons load and a impressive weathering job.  Paolo goes into detail about some of the extra work he did to his Harrier.

Pongpeera Thiapairat begins today's update with his first article on ARC.  This is his nicely done 1/72 Academy Bf-109G6 done up in the markings for one of the top Luftwaffe aces from WW2.  Welcome to ARC Pongpeera!!!Arne Goethe joins us today with his 1/72 Academy Vought F-8J Crusader in colourful markings after he did much work on his Crusader.  Arne's article covers the complete build. 

Jan Visser has dropped by with his 1/48 Tamiya Swordfish MK1.  Jan wasn't satisfied just building a great looking model using this fantastic kit.....he also posed it on a water base with figures.  The results look very good.

Konley Kelley is here with his 1/48 Academy F-86 and 1/48 Monogram Mig-15 posed in a dogfight scene from the Korean War.  I always get a kick out of seeing these in-flight images from Konley.

Yoav Efrati begins this special Israeli update with his l1/48 Hasegawa F-16C.  This is a beautifully done F-16 done up in the markings for 101 Squadron.  A review of the IsraDecal decals used on this F-16 is further below in today's update.

Jan M. Visser starts your week here on ARC with his 1/48 Italeri HH-60J Jayhawk finished in US Coast Guard markings.  Jan did a lot of modifying to get the details correct on his Jayhawk and he's included pics and info about all the changes.

AEX is here with a 1/72 Hasegawa F-14A Tomcat with an amazing degree of detail and weathering.  This really shows what can be done in 1/72 if you're determined and hone your skills.  Beautiful!!!

I have a review of the new 1/48 Mirage 2000 Tiger Meet 2004 decal sheet from Two Bobs Aviation Graphics.  This sheet features a very fancy Tiger scheme that covers most of the top of the jet.

I have a review of the new 1/72 CAF CF-18 416 Squadron 60 years decal sheet from Leading Edge Models.  This sheet features one special CF-18 with big cougar artwork on the tail.  It also comes in 1/48 scale.

Darren McGuinness gets things going today with his great looking 1/72 Italeri USAF F-111A.  Darren provides info in his article about he created his SEA F-111 diorama.

Laurent Boildieu begins today with his 1/72 Revell P-47D.  Laurent used Alclad II to finish his P-47 in a  very effective multi-shade bare metal finish then added markings for the 86th fighter squadron which belonged to the 79 fighter group. This group was based in Italy in late 1944.

PS is here to begin today's update with his first article on ARC.  This is his 1/72 Fine Molds Incom Corporation T-65 X-Wing star fighter .  I'm a Sci-fi fan.....so I always enjoy seeing spacecraft on ARC......and this is a beauty.  Welcome to ARC PS!!!  

Maurizio Tiso is here from Italy with his first article on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Accurate Miniatures Avenger which is an exceptional kit and Maurizo did a excellent job on it.  Benvenuto a ARC Maurizio!!!  (Welcome to ARC Maurizio!!!  I hope I got that right.)

Rick Reinbott joins us with his 1/48 Revell F-105D Thunderchief.  Rick has taken this older, but very nice kit and turned it into an accurate "head turner".  Rick has included history and very good build info about his Thunderchief.  It's a beauty Rick!!! 

Jeff Brundt is here on the same day as Rick with his big and perfectly weathered 1/32 Trumpeter MiG-3.  Jeff has included a shot of the cockpit before he installed it in the fuselage.  Fine looking MiG Jeff. 

I have a review of the new 1/48 USMC A-4M Lo-Vis Mikes Part II decal sheet from Two Bobs Aviation Graphics.  This sheet features three USMC A-4M's with markings for three complete aircraft; two from VMA-211 "Avengers" and one from VMA-214 "Blacksheep". 

Frederick Jacobs has a review of the new 1/32 Traveling Pod  Plastic World Modeling.  This is a product that is long overdue in resin....good to see it being released.

Billy Calzada "Billbuccaneer" begins this special Cinco De Mayo update with his 1/72 Academy P-47D Thunderbolt.  This is a P-47 of Mexican Expeditionary force, 1945, Philippines.  Billy has weather4ed his Jug and posed it in a tropical diorama.  Nice one Billy and Happy Cinco De Mayo to you!!!

Leigh Eaton joins us with his 1/72 Fujimi B.A.C. F-16 GR3 Wild Weasel.  This is his "What-if" RAF F-16 in one of the most complicated camo schemes I've seen.  Well done Leigh. 

Vjekoslav Ranec is here with his amazing 1/48 Revell-Monogram Mi-24 Hind.  Vjekoslav finished his Hind in Croatian Air Force markings and then created a diorama to further add to the look of his Hind.  A very attractive display of this very good model. 

Prama Sobari is here with his good looking 1/72 Airfix TAV-8B Harrier.  I've always had a fondness for 2 seat jets, so it is good to see Prama Harrier on ARC.

Pierre Greutert begins today with his 1/32 Revell F-4E Cockpit Part 3 of 4.  In this part Pierre lights up the side consoles of his F-4 cockpit.  Absolutely amazing. 

Ron Patterson joins us with his weathered 1/48 Monogram B-17.  Ron goes into detail about weathering this big beautiful Flying Fortress.  It's odd, but few aircraft stir my emotions like a weathered B-17.   

Fernan De Gannes is here with his 1/48 Hasegawa F-86F-40 finished off in Japanese markings and a perfectly done bare metal finish.  A strikingly attractive Sabre.

Ted Taylor joins us with his just finished 1/48 Amtech P-40K-5 Kittyhawk III.  This is the new kit from AMtech and Ted gives you a very good idea what is involved in building this kit.

Pierre Greutert is here with the next part of his 1/32 Revell F-4E Cockpit Part 2 of 4.  Today Pierre light the instrument panel with fibre optics.  The end result is amazing.

Peter Brown has dropped by with his 1/48 Tamiya P51D.  Peter chose the markings for the famous fighter "Old Crow" complete with an excellent looking natural metal finish and chipped paint.  A fine build indeed. 

Jeff Fuerte joins us with his 1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18D Hornet done up in the markings of VMFA(AW) 242-Bats complete with dropped flying surfaces and weathering.  Nice one Jeff. 

Bill Lachance is here to treat us to another of his beauties.  This is Bill's 1/48 Hasegawa Ar 234B-2 Blitz complete with stunning cockpit detail and beautifully done canopy framing rivets.  Amazing stuff Bill.....I sure would love to see your display case one day.

Pierre Greutert....ARC's most intense detail scratchbuilder is here with his latest artwork.  This is his 1/32 Revell F-4E Cockpit Part 1 of 4.  Amazing detail as always Pierre.  I'm speechless....which according to my wife is very rare.  ;-D 

Mike Reeves is here with his 1/48 Monogram TBD-1 Devastator.  Mike did an excellent job on this famous USN bomber.....including exhaust stains and weathering and engine detail. 

Mike Grant has gone beyond the regular building standards and completed a stunning 1/35 Trumpeter SA-2 Guideline Missile on Transporter.  Good grief....wait until you see the photos of this one up close.....talk about perfection in weathering. 

Ivan Rich with  IPMS-St. Louis has dropped by the ARC Corporate offices with his beautifully done 1/48 ProModeler Ju-87R-2 Stuka.  Ivan.....your Stuka rocks!!!....I love the big white Rhino artwork on the engine cowling.
