The server
machine for the ARC forums was very slow this morning. I checked the
machine and it was running fine, so I suspect the problem was due to the
increased load as the traffic on ARC and especially as the traffic levels
on the ARC forums continues to climb. I will see if the problem
persists and if it does I will explore options, but the options aren't
cheap or easy, so I don't want to rush into this, but if there is a
need.... I will make the necessary changes.
|
|
With the
server overload this morning I got curious so I went to the http://www.alexa.com
website to check traffic ratings for various websites. Here's what I
found....#1 is the busiest site on the net
-
Yahoo.com
#1
-
Google.com
#3
-
Microsoft.com
#9
-
ARC
#43,200
-
Modeling Madness
#114,116
-
Hyperscale
#118,592
-
Fine
Scale Modeler # 211,686
-
IPMS
USA # 277,001
-
Internet
Modeler #447,122
Considering
these numbers.....I now understand why the ARC Forums server was so slow
this morning. It's good to see ARC is now solidly the #1 aircraft modelling
website. Thank-you
everyone for making ARC #1!!!
