This resin set from Eduard is part of the Brassin series and is available directly from Eduard Model Accessories.  This set includes Bf-109F engine and fuselage guns  in 1/48 scale.

This resin set includes:

  • 36 resin parts

  • complete engine compartment in resin and photo etch

  • engine support mounts

  • upper fuselage gun compartment including firewall and gun compartment shelf

  • 2 fuselage guns

  • engine cowling including 2 different intakes Tropical and non-tropical)

  • fuselage cowling above gun compartment

  • photo etch panel for above the exhausts

  • many small resin and photo etch detail parts

  • decals including engine stenciling

There are 8 pages of instruction in the usual line drawing format that Eduard is famous for and which are so easy to follow.  The instructions also include painting instructions.

You will be required to fold the photoetch in this set, but if you have one of the Hold & Fold photo etch benders from The Small Shop, then this will be an easy process.  They have a variety of benders for sharp corners as well as rounded corners and in many different sizes.

This is an amazing set with such an abundance of detail in layer upon layer.  Photo etch was used for the critical flat parts and resin and wire was used for the non-flat parts giving the maximum level of realism.  You can use this if you are building the tropical version with the longer filtered intake of the non-tropical version with the shorter more direct intake as both intakes are included.  The engine cowling has detail on the interior and exterior of the panels including rivet detailing.  You will need to cut away panels on the kit fuselage to fit this set but that is all explained in the 8 pages of instructions. 

The Mercedes inverted V-12 is one of the most beautiful engines to come out of WW2 and this set captures all that wonderful engineering is mesmerizing detail and once assembled and painted this engine and gun set will make your model a complete masterpiece at the next model show.

This set is a first class way to capture all the advanced engineering detail of the Bf-109F in 1/48 scale.
