Trumpeter's
Hurricane is a joy to build. This
was built straight out of the box and I experienced no major problems in
its assembly. The level of detail is more than adequate for a kit
of this size, infact some of the detail included can not be seen in the
completed kit! Having built the Airfix Hurricane aswell, I couldn't
say that there was much in it if I had to choose a favourite.
They seem to
have different strong and weak points, so I would not say one is all that
better than the other.

The airplane
depicts Bob Stanford Tuck's machine that he flew during the Battle of
Britain. The half
black, half sky underside appealed to me.
It was meant
as a means of easy identification of friendly forces for anti
aircraft crews but, aircrews hated it as it ruined any camouflage effect
achieved by the sky paint.
