The kit is not too young, but can easily  be accepted as it is, except for the critic shape problem on the cowling. I have replaced the kit part with the Obscureco F6F3 / 5 corrected cowling .  I Hope we all  agreed that it’s more accurate now.

The cockpit painted to Gunze interior green.  I've replaced the seat  with the Ultracast #48030 and added some parts from Eduard cockpit detail set.

The painting was done with Tamiya and Gunze Sangyo acrylics.  Underside is painted with sky (duck egg green) from Gunze Sangyo

On the upper surfaces I've used Gunze Dark sea grey and Tamiya XF73  to simulate the slate grey.

For the code number and letters I've used Aeromaster #48399 decal sheet set.'ve used Aeromaster #48399 decal sheet set.

Weathering was done with artist s oil paint as usual.

Though the clear parts are nice, I decided to finish her as an open canopy Hellcat.  So,  I replaced the sliding part  with the Squadron vacuform canopy.      So,  I replaced the sliding part  with the Squadron vacuform canopy.

After the exhaust smoke stains application, It’s finished by airbrushing an acceptable amount of Gunze matt coat.
