This is one of the
aircraft from JG. 77 "Yellow 16" "Wander-Zirkus Ubben"
named for the Gruppenkommandeur Kurt Ubben as they were constantly on
the mover like a circus troupe.

The kit has been
painted using Gunze and Tamiya acrylics. Subtle weathering has been
achieved using pre and post shading as well as fading of the paint.
Additional weathering has been achieved with inks and pastels. The kit was
built out of the box with the exception of adding Eduard photo etched seat
belts, and the antennae wire from invisible mending thread. The insulators
are small drops of Micro-Scale Krystal Clear glue. The wheels have been
carefully filed down to give them the weighted appearance. The
decals are from Eagle Editions Eagle Cals and go on beautifully.
I really enjoy
building and painting the Hasegawa 1/32 109's and will never get bored with
them. I would have to say it's my favorite canvas to paint on. To see more
of my work you can visit my web site The
Model Hangar.
