This is the well
known Lightning f1/f1a/f2/f3 by Airfix converted to a T5 two seater by the
excellent Aeroclub conversion kit.

The T5 conversion is straight
forward and easy to do. Lots of white metal detail parts come in the kit and
there is plenty of scope for super detailing. All I did was to scratch build
some detail on the cockpit bulkhead.
I sprayed the silver finish using
Tamiya aerosol and all other painting using Humbrol enamels. I finished it as
ZU-BEX of Thunder City in Cape Town SA. One of only two T5s left flying in the
world (the other ZU-BBD) owned by Mike "beachey" Head.
