This is my new painting experiment using the 1/48 Dragon / Revell Ju 88 C6.  I've included a link that explains the whole construction and painting process.

For paints I used Gunze Hobby Color RLM 70/71/76 and Matt Black.  The exhaust stains are mixed with rust pigment and were created with chalk.

For extras I scratch built

  • flame dampers (aluminum case of candles)

  • Weapon tubes cannulas 0.6 and 0.8 mm

  • Radar parts of silver wire 0.2 mm

  • Antenna pulled sprue

  • Seatbelts are Eduard pre-painted photo etch

  • WGR. 21 Revell Bf 110 G4

Overall this is a sophisticated model, which unfortunately needs a lot of work on the surfaces, the cockpit roof and all other seams.

The real fun began after all preparatory work as I was then able to start the paint job which compensated for all the time put into detailing and building my model. :-)

Weathering was done with school chalk, Schmike acrylic and natural dust.

I hope you enjoy seeing how I built and painted it.
Greetings from Germany
