1/48 Falcon Supermarine Swift FR5

"The Supermarine Swift FR5, In II(ac) Sqn markings as based in Gutersloh in Germany ca. 1957ish. This is a Falcon 1/48th scale Vacuum formed kit. This kit is fairly old - but is as good as they come - apart from maybe a dodgy fuselage to nose join!

The white metal used on the undercarriage is fairly soft too!! 
As an aircraft the Swift Fighter was a failure, but in the Fighter /Recc role - as depicted here - was  a great success. Trouble was, by the time The Swift evolved into  a good aircraft, The RAF had decided to put all of their FR eggs in the "Hunter" basket! But that is another story."
