Here are some shots of my F-86 Sabre at 1/48 scale. The model is from HASEGAWA, I added some photoetched from an old sheet, just to improve the cockpit and especially the seat.

The cart is from KMC; model is painted with TESTOR METALIZER, and the yellow bands with TAMIYA. Decals are from the box, as it was a special released box.

The model depicts the bird of Lt James L Thompson, flying " The Huff", from 39th Fighter Intercept Squadron, 51st Fighter Intercept Wing. I put the dragon figure at both sides, as nobody knows about that " problem " ! I also painted a dragon on his helmet....

The model was easy to build, without problems; but pretty expensive !. At the date I built it the ACADEMY model didn't exist....and if I have to rebuild one it would be the ACADEMY one! The ACADEMY is cheapest...it has a good engine, gun bay, figures...so it would be a good choice.
