This is my 1/48 Tamiya Fw190D-9 with the Verlinden
detail set.
| Fit in general was good,
as it is with most Tamiya kits. Fit of the kit parts with the
details set resin parts was good as well. |

I painted the kit with Model Master
enamels, and used the kit decals for "Blue 15", a Dora from
4./JG301 based at Straubing, Bavaria in 1945.
Weathering was accomplished with an artist oil
wash, Doc O'Brien's Weathering Powders, and paint was "chipped" by
dry brushing and picking out details with straight silver. Oil streaks were
done with a thick wash and pulled back with a Q-Tip to simulate the
slipstream. The final coat was done with Polly Scale Clear Flat.
